Llanishen 2s started their league campaign away at Dinas Powys. Both league games between the sides the previous season were entertaining with big scores, however for the first twenty minutes this one looked like it was going to be very different, with both sides guilty of numerous handling errors and poor kicks out of hand. Things changed when second row Tom Barr made a break, he was tackled just short of the line, the ball was quickly recyled and fed to wing Liam Bufton for the opening score, Nathen Llewellyn converting.
