Winning start to season for 2s.

Llanishen 2s started their league campaign away at Dinas Powys. Both league games between the sides the previous season were entertaining with big scores, however for the first twenty minutes this one looked like it was going to be very different, with both sides guilty of numerous handling errors and poor kicks out of hand. Things changed when second row Tom Barr made a break, he was tackled just short of the line, the ball was quickly recyled and fed to wing Liam Bufton for the opening score, Nathen Llewellyn converting. The visitors then went on to secure a bonus point before half time with further tries from Llewellyn (2) both of which he converted and full back James Bryant who ran from inside his own half. The score of the game though came early in the second half, the home side looked as if they were going to get their first try but Llanishen won a turnover just short of their try line, the ball was fed to Barr who kicked long and showed great pace to gather tha ball to feed the supporting Llewellyn to get his hat trick, Tom Vaughan, Llewellyn and Bufton got further tries and one conversion gave a final score of Dinas Powys 2s 0 Llanishen 2s 48.
