The Management Team and Staff hope that you and those close to you are coping with these challenging times and staying safe and well. 

We are now over three weeks into the Government’s lock-down period and, as we anticipate, this may be extended for a further period to ensure that Covid 19 no longer poses a significant threat to our communities.  As you are all aware, the restriction on our ability to meet and move around has meant that our Clubhouse and 3G facility has been closed since 21^st March; there has been no rugby, skittles or darts played since before that time.  The Management Team appreciates the effect this has had on our normal routines but realises that it cannot go on forever and that we shall return to a 'new' sporting calendar and busy Clubhouse in the not too distant future.

Thanks largely to the Welsh and UK Governments’ support, we have been able to protect our key staff against dismissal and redundancy and are currently in the process of applying for all available grant funding to help us successfully emerge when the restrictions on pubs, clubs etc is lifted.  Be aware however that the Club cannot possibly survive this ordeal unscathed.  As many of you know, we have for some time been experiencing financial hardships connected with low trading revenue and mounting debts.  It was however, our strategy and intention to trade our way through these difficult times yet, this most recent and continuing loss of invaluable revenue has caused us to reconsider our commercial position.  There will inevitably be very necessary changes to how we run the Bar and 3G businesses to ensure that we achieve sustainability.  Such adjustments will include different opening times and recognisable profitably as a necessary return from Club functions and everyday use.  We shall publish further information on all of the changes made once the Management has carefully considered the likely financial position ongoing.
