Bonus point win for the 2s.

Llanishen 2s played host to Barry 2s at a wet and windy Llanishen Park. The home team had first use of the elements and opened the scoring with a penalty from Carl Tyres, after a period of pressure they extended the lead with a try from man of the match Sion Morris. They went further in front soon after when birthday boy wing James Chapman touched down in the corner. Barry came back into the match, kicking a penalty and scoring a converted try on the stroke of half time, Llanishen 13 Barry 10. The visitors used the elements well in the second half, using their big pack to drive into the Llanishen defence and after a period of prolonged pressure on the home line they scored a second converted try to take the lead for the first time. This seemed to stir Llanishen into action and eventually centre Josh James cut a lovely angle to cross for a try which regained the lead for the home side. Outstanding number 8 Barry Phillips took the kick off and breaking several tackles got to the Barry 22 and offloaded to supporting wing Sam Beckett to score under the posts, Steff Boyd added the extras. Barry came back and came close to scoring but Llanishen held out. Final score Llanishen 25 Barry 17.
