Another win for 2s in friendly.

With several players unavailable and others dropping out at short notice, it was a much changed Llanishen 2s who travelled across Cardiff for a friendly against St. Albans, the first game between the two sides for a long time.

The first period was very scrappy, a strong swirling wind and a heavy downpour leading to both sides making numerous handling errors. Eventually Llanishen managed to put some handling moves together and scored three tries in quick succession from outside half Sandy Galashan, wing
Kieran Maguire  and full back Luke Bishop, Maguire converted two to open up a 19 pont lead.

Late in the half a strong rolling maul from the home pack led to them crossing for an unconverted try, on the stroke of half time flanker Liam Bufton crossed for Llanishen to restore the 19 point lead. The home side requested a shorted second half, as they had a few players carrying injuries, which Llanishen agreed to, there was time however for them to add two more tries from centre Robin Ford and replacement Steff Boyd.

Final score St. Albans 5 Llanishen 39.
